  • Overview

    Provides advanced technical testing support to the organization. Positions reports to a Manufacturing Team Supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform functional testing of various electronic equipment using established methods
    • Provide general trouble shooting assistance when necessary
    • Prepare test specimens, adjust and operate equipment, and record test data
    • Analyze test results and offer process or product improvement to improve First Pass Yield  
    • Extract engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources; process the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry; present the data in prescribed form
    • Process PCARs for defective equipment
    • Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting  
    • Develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications
    • Perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed Select or adapt standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents
    • Receive initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed; perform recurring work independently; other work is generally reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions  
    • May lead and direct the work of others to ensure compliance with policies/guidelines in addition to standard work processes
    • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals  
    • Apply advanced knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
    • May review time records of team members to ensure completeness and accuracy

    Required Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience with related testing equipment ( i.e. oscilloscopes, hi-pot, network analyzing, variable power supplies, variable digital loads, etc.)
