  • Overview

    UEC is looking for an Engineering Intern who is motivated and enthusiastic about joining an engineering group which provides design and development of battery systems, power distribution systems, and power generation systems for industrial and military applications! You will interact with cross-functional teams of Electrical Engineers, Software Developers, Mechanical Engineers and Manufacturing. Position reports to the Engineering Manager or assigned supervisor.



    • Support and provide insight to the design of electronic components and systems from concept through release for military, aviation, medical, & commercial products
    • Advise, review, and support the architecture design, specification development, test plans, etc.
    • Provide and learn good design practices and support the preparation and review of documentation to support design
    • Witness documented peer reviews for designs
    • Contribute to the design of power, analog interface & digital hardware and/or software - using appropriate design & simulation tools
    • Contribute to the engineering support of transitioning UEC designed products from prototype to production.
    • Apply principles & techniques of electrical and/or software engineering to accomplish goals
    • Complete work accurately and on-time.
    • Interface with manufacturing and other engineering sites as required to complete design work accurately and on-time.
    • Adheres to Engineering Standards and common design practices
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    • Full time student enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program leading to the award of an electrical, software, mechanical or computer engineering or science degree.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Design experience from extracurricular activities (Robotics Clubs, Engineering Competitions)
