UEC is seeking a seeking an Embedded Software Developer who is interested in participating in the full life cycle of development of new products from marketing requirements. This is the perfect opportunity to use your knowledge, passion and energy to make concept a reality in a variety of forms and industries. This position will be part of the development team in which UEC Electronics is a leader in developing new portable hybrid power systems, power distribution and management, and vehicle power management.


  • Develop and implement new software programs to support business requirements
  • Maintain and improve the performance of existing software to ensure strong functionality and optimization
  • Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
  • Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary Apply extensive knowledge of computer architectures, operating systems, and programming languages
  • Provide technical support to project team members
  • Apply advanced knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the software engineering field
  • May lead and direct the work of others
  • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer information, engineering, mathematics, or related field and 7 years related experience
  • Code design experience using C/C++

  • Working knowledge of real-time & embedded firmware for variety of microprocessors (8 – 32 bit), Freescale/Microchip
  • Familiarity with development processes (Agile)
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills - thinks laterally as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be highly motivated, a self-starter with innovation, and have high integrity and the ability to pay attention to details
  • Proven track record of working in fast-paced innovative work environment
